COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY AND PROTOCOLS
The Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) prioritizes the health, safety, and well-being of our conference attendees and employees. The HGF continues to review and update its COVID-19 policy in consultation with its external advisory committee based on the latest public health guidance as circumstances evolve. Thank you for your ongoing support to keep each other safe and healthy.
• COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required for participation in HGF conferences/events.
• We ask that participants stay home if they are sick, experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (fever, chills, coughing, shortness of breath, etc.), or have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 10 days.
• To help avoid traveling while sick (and avoid you getting stuck in Springfield) and to support the health and safety of you and other conference participants, we ask that you test for COVID-19 using a rapid antigen test within 24 hours prior to your travel to the conference. If you test positive, please do not travel, or attend the event.
• We ask participants who have been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 10 days to wear a well-fitting mask throughout the event. Per CDC guidance, you have been directly exposed to COVID-19 if you had “close contact” with someone who has COVID-19.
• CDC defines close contact as being within 6 feet for more than 15 cumulative minutes within a 24-hour period of someone positive with COVID-19 (for example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes).
Feeling Sick
• If you start to feel ill while at the conference, please notify the HGF team (call or text 407-274-5053) and go to your hotel room.
• Please take a rapid antigen test (the HGF team will have tests).
• If you test positive, please notify the HGF team and remain in your hotel room. The HGF team will help you determine the appropriate next steps.
